It is notable for its casting director Fred Roos, who later became a producer for Francis Ford Coppola. Roos discovered counterculture sketch group The Committee in San Francisco and cast all members in bit parts in Hey, Landlord.

Short-tempered tenant Jack confesses that he may have hired someone to kill Chuck.
Chuck gets the shock of his life when his childhood baby-sitter tells him that he was adopted.
Woody, battling for the affections of a pretty secretary (Kay Reynolds), encounters strong opposition from a suave playboy (Hal March) known as Sizzling Sidney.
Woody is trying to date a pretty secretary, but her playboy boyfriend doesn't like it.
Woody and Chuck get the law on their heels when they unwittingly help a little hood, whe later turns the boys' apartment into a hideout.
Landlord Woody... and roomate Chuck... are keep away from the apartment they share, for each thinks that the other has a date - and a desire for privacy
Woody recalls his college days when he and fellow fraternity-pledge Chuck were victims of a hazing stunt that nearly got them expelled.
Woody is delighted when a woman's club selects his play of production, but the author is soon sorry: Chuck and a lady director are changing his drama into a slapstick comedy.
Woody's impulsive kid sister (Sally Field) decides to stop her wedding in mid-vow and takes off - bridal gown and all - for a taste of life in New York City.
Chuck's plan to test a new girlfriend's loyalty backfires when Woody's nosy sister (Sally Field) warns the victim.
The boys get the ""full"" treatment when they check up on the men's salon, where Woody's sister (Sally Field) just happens to work. To make matters worse, the cosmetology barber-beautician course is taught by an obnoxious egotist (Paul Lynde).
Woody and Chuck become human guinea pigs in order to earn extra money: Woody has to eat dirt, while Chuck can sleep only for very short periods.
The guys take on a nervewracking task when they try to help a wife (Leigh French) of an absent tenant (John Astin). What's worse is the woman speaks no word of English, and is expecting a baby at any moment.
Jack spends two nights on the town with Woody's navy aunt (Rose Marie).
