Calverley has been known for making dramatic and often melancholic films that touch upon love, loss and use his home-state of Michigan as a touching backdrop. Musically, Jack is the bassist and vocalist of the noise/hard rock band "bodyguards". Originally from Riverdale, MI, Calverley's visual aesthetics often stem from lo-fi and minimalist roots. His debut feature film "MOUNT PLEASANT" was released in November of 2022 and won "Best First Feature" at the Roma Film Festival in Italy.
