Kindergarten and music teacher Freddie and her thirteen year old daughter Sam, seek refuge in their community, family, friends, science and music. Freddie -- a single mom and child at heart -- is grappling with a sudden loss, while science-minded Sam delves into her study of endangered species; demonstrating to them both the impact of loving that which is endangered.
