In a small town, Nina Antonova works at a garment factory. She is not a particularly modern young woman — modest, romantic, and trusting, despite having been deceived by men more than once. Nina has a fiancé whom she loves deeply and for whom she is ready to go to the ends of the earth. For his sake, she quits her job at the factory and even sells her house.
